The Student Counseling Center is excited to be hosting watch parties for an upcoming training being presented by Oregon Campuses United for Suicide Prevention (OCUSP). This training on Motivational Interviewing (MI) is presented by a certified MI-trainer. MI is a practical, evidence-based communication approach that helps students, staff and faculty engage campus and community members in conversations about change with empathy, respect, and collaboration.

Boxer Giving Day ends tonight, and Pacific students are counting on us to finish strong. When we reach 500 gifts, a $25,000 challenge will be unlocked to fund student scholarships. We are so close, and every gift between now and 9 p.m. moves us forward.

As Pacific employees, we see these students every day. We know what's at stake for them. Today is our chance to show up in a way that directly impacts their ability to stay, thrive, and become the educators, caregivers, and leaders our communities need.

Two ways to help right now:

GIVE - Make a gift to the Boxer Spirit Fund, scholarships, emergency aid, or any area of Pacific you love: pacificu.edu/BoxersGive

SHARE - Send an email, post on social, or text a fellow Boxer. Every gift counts toward 500. Find some messaging you can copy/paste here.

Even in hard moments, we can do something good today. Let's GO BIG for Pacific students.
