Interprofessional Education Updates
As a result of the valuable work put in by the Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Restructuring Committee, we are pleased to share updates about next steps in moving this work from an ad hoc system to a more centralized, sustainable framework.
As part of the restructure, we have identified a director and an operations & curriculum manager who will support integrated curriculum and certificate development. They will also have part-time administrative support to conduct this work. While not housed explicitly in a defined Interprofessional Center of Excellence, this enhanced support is more intentional and financially grounded to support ongoing IPE work into the future. In addition, the positions and goals within these positions lift up the ideas and innovation generated from the committee's proposal.
We are pleased to share that Dr. Talina Corvus will serve as the director of Interprofessional Excellence and Programing and Professor Melissa Fryer will serve as the operations and curricular support manager. Both will serve in these roles in addition to their current appointments. Both Dr. Corvus and Professor Fryer come with expertise and a passion for interprofessional education and we look forward to the innovative programming to sustain centralized IPE curriculum and ensure intentional support for interprofessional training at Pacific.
