°ÅÀÖÊÓÆµâ€™s Music Education Project offers high-quality, affordable after-school music instruction for students ages 5–18 and provides undergraduate music education majors with valuable hands-on teaching experience under the close guidance of university faculty.
This program offers private lessons and ensemble learning opportunities on string, wind, brass, and percussion instruments, as well as instruction in voice and choir. The Music Education Project also provides supplemental chamber ensemble instruction and offers adult classes on string instruments. Classes are taught by trained undergraduate music education students under the close supervision of highly qualified and experienced music faculty.
String Project
Established in 2012, the nationally recognized °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ String Project offers high-quality, affordable instruction on violin, viola, cello, double bass, and guitar to elementary through high school students, as well as adults. The program includes group classes, several orchestra levels, and private lessons. Students perform each semester in ensemble concerts and solo recitals. Faculty members and supervised undergraduate music education students provide all instruction.
Band Project
The °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ Band Project provides high quality and affordable music instruction for beginning, intermediate and high school woodwind, brass, and percussion students, including flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion. The program offers private lessons and small group instruction. Students are taught by highly qualified and experienced university faculty and undergraduate students (teachers-in-preparation) who work under the close supervision of faculty.
Choir Project
The °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ Choir Project provides high quality and affordable music instruction for beginning, intermediate , and advanced vocalists. This program offers one choral ensemble open to musicians in Grades 7-12, as well as several workshop opportunities for the All-State and Solo and Ensemble Festivals. Students are taught by highly qualified and experienced university faculty and undergraduate students, teachers-in-preparation, who work under the close supervision of faculty.
