These awards recognize the contributions of faculty that go beyond the call of duty. Recipients are recognized at the annual Honors & Awards Ceremony.

Distinguished University Professor

The title of Distinguished University Professor is designed to recognize outstanding performance by a Pacific faculty member over an extended period of time. Recipients for this award shall have a strong overall record as faculty members with distinguished performance on and off campus. 

President’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching

The recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching demonstrates a strong record of excellent undergraduate teaching as described in the University Faculty and Governance Handbook, “Teaching is the principal activity of the Ƶ faculty and includes appropriate work and involvement with students beyond, as well as within the classroom” (4.5.4.2.a).

President’s Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching

The recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching demonstrates a strong record of excellent graduate teaching as described in the University Faculty and Governance Handbook, “Teaching is the principal activity of the Ƶ faculty and includes appropriate work and involvement with students beyond, as well as within, the classroom” (4.5.4.2.a).

Provost’s Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching

The recipient of the Provost’s Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching recognizes and encourages excellence in teaching among promising, untenured members of the University faculty.

Provost’s Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Scholarship

The recipient of the Provost’s Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Scholarship recognizes and encourages excellence in scholarship among promising, untenured members of the University faculty. 

Provost’s Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Service

The recipient of the Provost’s Junior Faculty Award for Excellence in Service recognizes and encourages excellence in service among promising, untenured members of the University faculty.
