Motivational Interviewing Training Opportunity
The Student Counseling Center is excited to be hosting watch parties for an upcoming training being presented by Oregon Campuses United for Suicide Prevention (OCUSP). This training on Motivational Interviewing (MI) is presented by a certified MI-trainer. MI is a practical, evidence-based communication approach that helps students, staff and faculty engage campus and community members in conversations about change with empathy, respect, and collaboration.
This OCUSP training is oriented towards faculty and staff but students are more than welcome to attend and will likely find the content applicable as they move through graduate and professional programs.
Watch parties will be hosted during the event on Friday, 4/10 from 10-11:30. For Hillsboro, head to HPC2 170 and for Forest Grove, join us in Tran Library Conference Room 201. Treats will be available in both locations! Graham Turner will be hosting in FG and Lynette Bikos will be hosting in Hillsboro.
Registration is not required but signing up will help us plan accordingly!
All events are listed in Pacific time zone unless otherwise noted.
