Jump right into your pharmacy education with the °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ Jump Start Early Assurance Program. A doctor of pharmacy degree does not require a bachelor's degree — complete your undergrad prerequisites in two years, then start your doctoral program for a quick start to your pharmacy career.

By applying to the Jump Start Early Assurance Program as an undergrad, you'll get support and guidance with your prerequisites — no matter where you complete them — and you'll have the opportunity to earn conditional admission early to Pacific's School of Pharmacy.

 

Is the °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ Pharmacy Jump Start Early Assurance Program For You?

The Pharmacy Jump Start Early Assurance Program offers a unique opportunity for motivated students to complete undergraduate prerequisites, then begin their doctor of pharmacy degree without completing a bachelor's degree.

Open to any student who has completed high school and who is either admitted to or attending a U.S. college, the Pharmacy Jump Start Early Assurance Program provides guidance through your undergraduate prerequisites, along with early assurance of your place in either the three-year accelerated pathway or the five-year extended pathway

It's a great choice for students who have a strong interest in the pharmacy profession and want to jump into their career as a pharmacist early!

Why Choose the Pharmacy Jump Start Early Assurance Program?

Conditional Admission

Save your seat in the °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ PharmD program, pending a successful PharmCAS application and interview process.

Guided Pathway

Receive support and mentorship from Pacific pharmacy faculty and students as you complete your prerequisites and prepare to complete the PharmCAS and admissions interview.

Student Orientation

Participate in a virtual meeting to get oriented to the program, confirm your pathway to admission and get connected with students and faculty within the School of Pharmacy.

Waived Fees 

We'll waive your PharmCAS application ($180 value) and your deposit fee ($250 value) upon acceptance to the PharmD program.

Access to Events & Opportunities

Attend virtual and on-campus events hosted by the °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ School of Pharmacy. You also can join in our student professional organization events, research opportunities, and pharmacist shadowing while working on your prerequisites.

What to Expect

Apply for the Jump Start Early Assurance Program

Complete the simple application form to apply for the Jump Start Early Assurance Program and be considered for early conditional admission to the °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ School of Pharmacy.

Complete Your Prerequisites

A bachelor's degree is not required to apply for or enter the PharmD program at °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ. Complete these prerequisite courses at any regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. You'll need to have all of your prerequisites complete before starting the PharmD.

Maintain Your GPA

You'll need to receive a grade of C- or better in all prerequisite courses and a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher to earn conditional admission to the PharmD program. If you are a part of the Pharmacy 3+3 program, your GPA requirement may be different.

Submit Your PharmCAS

In the fall or spring before you want to start pharmacy school, complete the online . You'll need to submit college transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. This is also when you'll indicate if you're interested in Pacific's accelerated 3-year PharmD program or extended 5-year PharmD program. Be sure to apply by March 1 of the year you'll be starting pharmacy school!

Complete an Interview

Meet with °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ faculty for an admissions interview, either in person or on Zoom. This is a chance for the admissions committee to get to know candidates beyond the application materials.
