Areas I Teach
Dr. Labib completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and then pursued a residency at TEI in primary care, with emphasis on ocular disease. She received her fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) in 2015 and later became the 12th diplomate of the Comprehensive Eye Care section of the AAO. She served as Program Chair and Written Exam Chair of this section until 2022.
Prior to her position as the Dean of the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ College of Optometry, Dr. Labib was the associate dean of academic affairs, director of the internship program, and chief of primary care service at PCO.
In addition to her administrative appointments, Dr. Labib is actively involved as a lecturer in the ocular anatomy and physiology, anterior, and posterior segment disease courses as well as a clinical preceptor. She has contributed significantly to ophthalmic literature, authoring numerous articles in the area of ocular disease. Her research and publications have been cited extensively. Dr. Labib lectures nationally and runs a regular column in Review of Optometry.
