Q.  Are you currently employed?  If yes, where do you work and what is your position?

Yes, I am the front desk manager at a medical clinic, and also a pharmacy intern at Legacy Salmon Creek.

Q.  Approximately how many hours per week are you able to work while attending the 5-Year PharmD pathway on campus?

Roughly 30 hours a week.

Q.  What is your educational background?

Associates degree in Biology.

Q.  What inspired you to pursue a career in pharmacy?

I want to be an accessible resource for patients, providing education and individualized care. It also appeals to my academic strengths, as I excelled in and enjoyed the sciences.  Becoming a pharmacist has been my dream since high school!

Q.  Why did you choose °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ School of Pharmacy?

The 5-year pathway and the proximity to my home; these two factors make it possible for me to be doing this. I was born and raised in Hillsboro, so it feels like a full circle moment :)

Q.  What has been your favorite experience so far as a pharmacy student?

Meeting new people and getting involved with our student governance through Pacific Pharmacy Student Association (PPSA). I may not be in the majority, but I find I have really been enjoying Pharmacy Foundations!

Q.  What do you enjoy doing outside of pharmacy school?

Crafting, spending time with my cat, antique shopping, watching horror movies.

Q.  What advice would you give to prospective or incoming pharmacy students?

Believe in yourself and do not hesitate to ask for help. The faculty and staff at Pacific are supportive, encouraging, and genuinely want the best for you. Also, don't forget to factor fun and relaxation into your schedule to avoid burnout.

Q.  Looking ahead, what career goals or interests are you considering after graduation?

I hope to complete a residency, with focus on in-patient care. And, then take a long vacation to celebrate my accomplishments! I am thinking Japan.
