On Monday, November 3rd, Ƶ School of Pharmacy hosted its third Career & Experiential Fair series since 2022, welcoming 26 organizations to Wingspan Event & Conference Center in Hillsboro for a full day of networking, professional development, and career exploration. Students from both PharmD pathways (3-year and 5-year) participated in the event.
The day began with a preceptor development session titled “Cultivating Coping with a Growth Mindset,” offering our partners strategies for supporting learners and dedicated time to connect prior to the student expo.
A hallmark of this event is its intentional, student-centered design. The fair is built to meet the needs of all our students, ensuring meaningful participation across programs and career interests. Through a diverse group of exhibitors, targeted panel discussions, and access to professional headshots, the event provides every learner the opportunity to explore both future experiential and career options, gain confidence, and engage with partners committed to their professional success.
Throughout the in-person expo, students interacted with organizations representing community pharmacy, ambulatory care, industry and research, health-system practice, independent and specialty pharmacy, and rural and underserved care. A series of well-attended panel discussions highlighted career pathways across these practice areas, offering valuable insight into emerging workforce opportunities.
Students were also able to update their professional portfolios through on-site headshots, an especially valuable resource for those preparing for internships, Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotations, residencies, and future employment.
On Thursday, November 6th, the School hosted the second part of the series through the Virtual Career & Experiential Fair, where 14 additional organizations—including partners from outside the Pacific Northwest—connected with students through online sessions. This virtual component expands access for both organizations and students, providing a broad and inclusive career development experience.
Together, the in-person and virtual fairs reflect Ƶ’s commitment to offering comprehensive, student-centered, and impactful professional development opportunities. We extend our sincere appreciation to all participating organizations, preceptors, alumni, faculty, staff, and students whose contributions make this annual series successful.

A special thank-you to our event sponsors for their continued partnership and support. This successful off-campus in-person event was made possible through the generous support of our sponsors, whose commitment allowed us to provide a memorable, high-quality experience for our students. We extend our deepest appreciation to all our Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors for investing in our students and for supporting the future of pharmacy. Your partnership strengthens our ability to carry out our mission: to prepare compassionate, practice-ready, patient-centered pharmacists who improve the health of the communities they serve.
Why Sponsorship Matters
Sponsorship plays a vital role in helping us create meaningful developmental experiences for our students. Contributions directly support career programming, networking events, professional development resources, outreach opportunities, and the expansion of knowledge of experiential learning sites for our students. This support enhances the overall student experience and ensures we can continue offering high-impact events that connect students to their future careers and professional opportunities.
Opportunities to Support Our Students
