Celebrating a Milestone: First IPPEs Completed by Five-Year Pathway Students
Body

MilestoneThis summer, our inaugural cohort of five-year pathway PharmD students successfully completed their first Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs).  These students have followed the same curriculum as our three-year pathway students, with first year and second year coursework distributed over two years to support a more flexible learning experience.

Designed with working professionals in mind, the five-year pathway offers adaptable options for completing IPPE rotations. Students can choose to complete their Community IPPE during the summer and their Health-System IPPE during the fall semester. They also have the option to do what our three-year pathway students do, which is complete both IPPEs during the summer.

We're proud of the progress our five-year pathway students have made and grateful to our experiential education team for supporting their individualized learning paths. Their success marks and exciting step forward for this new, flexible pathway to obtaining a PharmD.
