The online Special Education Endorsement Program allows individuals who hold a current teaching license to add a cross-categorical special education endorsement which, in addition to your Oregon teaching license, will allow you to work with students from early childhood to high school and beyond.
Because this license is cross-categorical you’ll be trained to work with students with disabilities that range from mild to profound and of any type.
The program entails , but we will work with you to allow you to complete these experiences either in a traditional placement alongside a mentor or as a teacher in your own classroom. Candidates also may work toward a master of education (MEd) degree concurrently.
Candidates must complete a locally-scored portfolio and pass the NES Special Education test for licensure.
