Career Information
- A prepares you for careers in education, medicine, dentistry, and allied health, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, physician assistant, music therapist, psychologist, audiologist, or speech-language pathology.
- The provides the preparatory coursework for application to the °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ master's program in speech-language pathology.
Declaring a minor in Communication Sciences & Disorders
- °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ students declare minors by the end of junior year or at 60 earned credits, after a major has been declared.
- Current students interested in Communication Sciences & Disorders should contact Dr. Jill Dolata (dolata@pacificu.edu) as early as possible.
Pre-Speech Language Pathology Pathway through the CSD Minor
- Any student interested in applying for graduate programs in audiology or speech-language pathology is strongly encouraged to meet with the undergraduate program advisor Dr. Kerry Mandulak as early as possible.
- Students who apply to graduate programs have additional prerequisites beyond the CSD minor. These requirements include one course in each of the following areas:
- Statistics
- One biological science
- One physical (chemistry or physics) science
- One social or behavioral science.
- Please contact Dr. Kerry Mandulak to make an appointment for advising, and to review sample plans for sequencing courses in the minor.
