Research Focus | I am especially interested in pediatric neurological conditions, childhood chronic pain, and their intersections with neurodevelopmental disorders—primarily as they relate to cognitive, emotional, and family system functioning. I am also very interested in community-based participatory research and positive deviance (PD) approaches.

Why I chose Pacific | I was really struck by the warmth I felt from everyone I met (faculty, ambassadors, Jenni) last year, and left interview day feeling really affirmed in my desire to work with Dr. Brown as a member in her lab and also to be a part of Dr. LaFavor’s neuropsychological assessment clinic.

Favorite thing about the program | I feel surrounded by such knowledgeable and passionate peers—who are also genuinely rad humans, which feels very special to me.

Favorite PhD Course | Advanced Stats in Psychology I: I really loved Dr. Beauchamp’s approach to statistics this past fall.

Tips for getting observation hours/exposure to psychology (before applying) | Be brave, reach out, send that email! If you see a lab or clinical setting that interest you—ask how you can become involved!

Career Aspirations | My big dream is to become a pediatric neuropsychologist at a children’s research hospital.

Hobbies | I adore the PNW. When I’m not working, I am most likely hiking with my puppy Sunny (she’s 5), knitting, gardening, riding my bike, or just walking around my neighborhood thinking about how much I love it here.

Research Focus | Adapting evidence-based interventions for autistic clients

Why I chose Pacific | There's a few reasons! Pacific's PhD program offers a fantastic mix of research and clinical opportunities. As someone with a passion for both, this really appealed to me. I was especially drawn to Dr. Brown's lab—her work with autistic youths aligns wonderfully with my own research interests.

Hobbies | I'm a nerd through and through. When I'm taking a break from doctoral studies, you can either find me getting lost in Powell's or playing board games with my friends.
