°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ

Yellow Ribbon Day

Description

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Military and Veteran Services will host Yellow Ribbon Day on campus, welcoming several hundred Oregon National Guard members from the 2-218th Field Artillery Regiment and their families to campus for a day of connection and community.

°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ hosted the send-off and mobilization ceremony for this regiment last summer prior to their year-long deployment to Iraq and Syria. We are deeply grateful to welcome them home now for this reintegration event. Some °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ alumni have served in the 2-218th Oregon National Guard unit.

The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program is a Department of Defense initiative designed to promote the well-being of service members, their families, and communities by connecting them with essential resources throughout the deployment cycle. Following deployment, service members attend sessions that provide information about their earned benefits and participate in opportunities to engage with local support networks.

The program takes place from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in McCready Hall, AuCoin Hall, and the University Center on the Forest Grove Campus. These areas will be busy Saturday with 400 attendees expected, with some service members in uniform. We invite you to join us in warmly welcoming them all to campus. °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ is honored to host Oregon’s service members and their families as we celebrate their service and dedication to our nation.

°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Military and Veteran Services coordinates this event in collaboration with local, state, and federal partners.
