Sign, Shake and Ring

Description

Undergraduate students who are graduating spring 2026 are invited to attend 芭乐视频鈥檚 Sign, Shake and Ring ceremony on Friday, May 15 between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Sign, Shake and Ring is a tradition unique to 芭乐视频. In the late 1880s (or early 1900s) incoming students would sign the university's enrollment book to officially enroll in the university and agree to the cost of tuition. To make the event more ceremonial, students also would ring the bell in Old College Hall and shake hands with the university's president.

On the evening prior to their graduation, students return to Old College Hall. Inside the Book of Enrollment, they鈥檇 find their original signature from when they arrived on campus, and sign their name again to signify the completion of their academic career at Pacific. Now our graduating students sign the official 鈥淏ook of Alumni鈥 and take a photo with President Coyle and Boxer III (read about the legend behind the Boxer statue and why CPS stands guard)!

Family and supporters are welcome to attend and witness you participate in this 鈥渂ookend鈥 ceremony!

Complimentary photos are provided by the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and available a few weeks after the event.
