CETCI Pedagogy After Hours: Digital Pedagogy in the Student-Centered Classroom with Aimee Wodda
We invite you to join us for the next CETCI Pedagogy After Hours event on Wednesday, February 18, from 5-6 pm to learn how Criminal Justice, Law, & Society professor, Aimee Wodda, combines technology and community to create authentic, engaging learning experiences for her students.
Aimee's classes are centered around community-based teaching and learning. No matter which class she's teaching, she designs assignments that are meant to be read/viewed by others–students are not writing or producing work just for her. They have a real audience in mind when communicating what they’ve learned. In this session, Aimee will provide an example of a class activity template using a series of hyperlinked GoogleDocs and Google Slides. This activity prompts students to conduct supported mini-research on pre-selected topics and distill their learning into a collaborative slideshow. This activity can be reused across multiple semesters and is endlessly adaptable and updatable.
All events are listed in Pacific time zone unless otherwise noted.
