All Souls Day Ceremony for Alumni & Friends

Description

Please join the Alumni Association on Nov. 3, for two ceremonies honoring members of the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ community who have died.

The first is our quarterly Remembrance Ceremony for Pacific alumni and friends, where we will memorialize individuals who have died in the previous three months (August-October). We will gather at noon for shared grief and reflection.

Immediately following, at 1 p.m., will be our special annual All Souls Day Ceremony for Pacific alumni and friends. This ceremony is dedicated to remembering those who died longer ago, as well as remembering people whose loved ones have requested they be included. It's a chance to honor lives that may not have been memorialized in our recent quarterly gatherings.

As part of the ceremony, the names of alumni and other members of the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ community who have died are inscribed in a Book of Remembrances, which is displayed in Old College Hall. The bell in Old College Hall is rung to mark the passing of each individual.

By holding these two ceremonies together, we can remember both those we have recently lost and those who have been gone for longer, ensuring all are honored. All are welcome to join the Alumni Association for this meaningful time of reflection.

To request that we honor someone, please email alumni@pacificu.edu by Oct. 27.
