The White Coat Ceremony at °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ College of Optometry marks a significant milestone for students entering their third year of the optometry program. As they receive their white coats, students symbolically transition into the clinical phase of their education. Surrounded by faculty, family, and peers, they pledge to uphold the values of professionalism, ethical care, and service as future optometrists.

The Welcome to the Profession & Graduate Awards Ceremony is a signature event honoring the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ College of Optometry Class of 2026. This meaningful celebration marks the transition from student to professional as graduates are formally welcomed into the profession of optometry.

A rapid-fire format provides the opportunity for each resident to deliver a 30-minute discussion on topics that may include cornea and contact lenses, geriatric optometry, ocular disease, pediatric optometry, primary eye care, refractive and ocular surgery, refractive and surgical co-management or vision therapy and rehabilitation.

Earn up to 30 hours of COPE-Accredited Continuing Education and come experience all that Maui has to offer.
