Celebrate Pride 2025
Body

At Pacific, we are guided by a mission of uplifting others, showing up with kindness, respect, and pride for every member of our community. Each year, as Pride is celebrated across Oregon in late June and early July, many of us stand with our students and colleagues in honoring the strength, joy, and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community.

But Pride is more than a celebration. It’s a continued commitment to visibility, equity, and belonging. It’s about standing with those whose lives and identities have too often been treated as open to debate. Whether you're marching in a parade, attending a community gathering, or simply holding space for someone to be their full, authentic self, we hope you'll find a way to honor Pride in a way that feels meaningful to you.

Below are a few local Pride events happening in our region, though this list is far from comprehensive. Many towns and neighborhoods are hosting their own vibrant celebrations, and we encourage you to explore and support those as well.

🌈 Happy Pride!

Portland Pride 2025

History of Portland Pride

Pride has been celebrated in Portland since the early 1970s, with the first outdoor festival held in 1976. In 1994, Pride Northwest was founded by Eric Brown, at the request of previous organizers, to bring long-term stability and continuity.

Today, the Portland Pride Festival is the largest platform for our area’s LGBTQ+ organizations and businesses. In addition, it draws thousands of visitors to Portland, providing a notable boost to Portland’s local economy.

Pride Northwest now operates as a year-round organization, committed to creating safe and inclusive opportunities for young people. To learn more or get involved, visit
