Body

Make Many Things is an exhibition of selected works from several series of objects and images that the artist created during the last eighteen months. The variety of styles, materials and mediums on concurrent display echoes the artist’s dynamic studio practice and reflects inspiration from a recent museum research trip. The exhibition features photographs, scanographs, furniture design, graphic design and sculpture. Make Many Things is a curated cacophony of artistic activity, revealing the relentless curiosity, imagination, and idiosyncrasies of a committed maker of things.

Tyler is an effective teacher and widely exhibited artist. Make Many Things marks his eleventh solo exhibition, and his work has been juried into more than seventy juried exhibitions across the United States. He is dedicated to developing curiosity, work ethic, and creative critical thinking skills in students. His artistic activity is characterized by strong craftsmanship, reclaimed materials and economy in design. His work often explores the contemporary visual landscape, advertising imagery, consumer behavior, and the single-use plastic problem. Tyler received his undergraduate degree from Western Oregon University and his MFA from the University of Montana. He has been teaching art at °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ since 2018.
