Dr. Mary Avisado is a residency-trained optometrist and Assistant Professor at °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ College of Optometry. She actively contributes to both didactic and clinical education and conducts research in the field of contact lenses. Born and raised in Canada to immigrant parents, Dr. Avisado is a first-generation college graduate. She earned dual OD/MS degrees with Distinction from °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ, where she also completed her residency training before joining the faculty. Her clinical expertise and research interests include specialty contact lenses, myopia control, corneal disease, and glaucoma management. Dr. Avisado is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
