Year started in program: 2022

Background: I am originally from the Midwest, and I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I studied psychology and criminal justice. Here, I was part of a research team that studied the relationship between previous victimization and feelings of safety on campus amongst the student body.

Research Interests: I am interested in antagonistic personality traits (i.e. psychopathy & narcissism) and their relationship to violent behavior, including sexual violence and domestic violence. Additionally, I am interested in the use of risk assessment tools and personality measures to predict future violence and aid treatment approaches for high-risk populations. Other areas in forensic psychology of interest to me include malingering and deception, law enforcement evaluations, and mental health law.

More about me: In my free time, I enjoy staying active by playing tennis, volleyball, running, and hiking. I also love cooking and am a big foodie, so I am always exploring the amazing food scene in Portland. Though graduate school keeps me busy, I still find time to listen to my favorite podcasts, catch up on the latest true crime documentaries, and check out the local coffee shops and breweries with my friends.
